hiking to Weller Lake

The first hike of the season was a mild success. Only a little complaining, and only had to carry Cody on my shoulders about half the time. Poppie was very cautious, so that slowed us down a little. When we got up to the lake there was a bunch of elk poop. Cody sat down right in it, and when we got up to go down he waved to it saying, "bye-bye poo poo".

I am SO thrilled it's finally summery. but I don't want to jinks it by saying something.

my camera is in California, has been there over a month, and may not make it back to Colorado for another week. There have been so many incredible things I wanted to take pictures of, of course.
I've been very crafty these past few months. If I forget, will someone please remind me to show you what I've been working on? My favorite is a stuff holder I made out of an old apron. It has a chicken shaped pocket. I also have been way into covering stuff with fabric... this can become an obsession.
